Natural Fibers
Cotton
Natural FibersMost forgiving natural fiber. Can handle most cleaning agents but avoid high heat to prevent shrinkage.
Wool
Natural FibersExtremely sensitive to agitation and high heat — both cause irreversible felting. Hand wash or delicate cycle only.
Silk
Natural FibersProtein-based fiber. Sensitive to alkaline cleaners and sunlight. Use pH-neutral detergent only.
Linen
Natural FibersStrong and absorbent. Wrinkles easily but handles heat well. Gets softer with each wash.
Synthetic Fibers

Synthetic FibersDurable and quick-drying. Resistant to most stains but can attract oil-based marks. Avoid high heat.
Nylon
Synthetic FibersMelts at low temperatures. Very strong but sensitive to heat and prolonged sun exposure.
Specialized
Leather
SpecializedRequires pH-balanced leather cleaners only. Condition regularly. Water can cause permanent staining if not treated immediately.
Suede
SpecializedExtremely water-sensitive. Even minor water contact causes marks. Use suede protector spray before wearing.
